Reducing Stress

How do you take care of yourself when you are tired, busy, stressed, and overworked? 


We always hear about the importance of taking care of ourselves first...even the airline industry understands that we have to take care of ourselves before we can help others (you have to put your oxygen mask on before you help your child). Yet how often do we actually put this into practice, especially during times when we are feeling overwhelmed and tired?

Take a moment and think about what you can do to take care of yourself:

  • Breathe
  • Stretch
  • Listen 
  • Communicate effectively (more tips on that here)
  • Change your environment (rearrange the classroom, declutter, organize) 
  • Take a walk or sit outside
