At the April 19 SEIC awards ceremony, LUME Institute received a generous $35,000 grant from YouthBridge Community Foundation. The grant will be used to advance ElevatED, LUME’s innovative business venture that will elevate the field of early childhood education and improve outcomes for children and families by reducing the turnover rate of early childhood educators.
ElevatED is the solution to the 25-40% national turnover crisis in early childhood education. It is an HR process that will assess and report on prospective candidates' behavioral indicators and emotional dispositions, and will allow center directors to focus on more on programming, planning, and advancement and less on hiring. We are excited about this next chapter of LUME’s work and evolution.
