Nurturing Connections Orientation

If you would like to learn more about Nurturing Connections and find out what a parent and child class is like, please come to one of our monthly orientation workshops. Visit the space where children explore and learn about the benefits for you and your baby.

Fee: $10

Location: Shrewsbury Parks and Recreation
5200 Shrewsbury Ave, St. Louis, MO 63119

Nurturing Connections is a series of classes for parents and their infant/toddlers focused on helping children to develop self-confidence, deepen their understanding of self and others, and increase their ability to think and explore the world around them. The tone of the class is relaxed, playful, and supportive.

As a result of these classes parents report a greater self-confidence, better communication with their infants, and a new respect for theirchild's amazing ability to learn and make sense of the world around them. Join us for this celebration of the parent infant connection.

Classes are facilitated by Shannon Carr, M.A.T., a student of the RIE® Practicum Pathway under the mentorship of RIE® Associate Polly Elam.

This is an adults-only event; no children please. An orientation class must be attended prior participating in a series with your child. Advanced registration is required.

Orientation nights are held the second Wednesday of each month.

Change the Face of Missouri

On February 9, we held a Change the Face of Missouri event at UCCC that offered up an introduction to a crucial topic and we would like to continue the conversation about understanding equity, fairness, and acceptance through empathy and compassion. We invite parents and educators to join us for another family-focused discussion at UCCC! Let's embrace inclusiveness, support our children's curiosity, and foster healthy attachments!

LOCATION:
