Gain the knowledge and skills needed to help your students succeed in your classroom and in life.  The LUME Professional Development Series offers educators of all ages and disciplines an opportunity to better understand the development of children, earn clock hours, and strengthen their practice. LUME Institute also provides a limited amount of educator scholarships for the Professional Development Series.

Children are curious about bodies and bodily functions. When is it simple curiosity and when should we be concerned? How can teachers gently support children in their growing understanding? Join us to learn how to thoughtfully respond to children’s needs and questions about sexuality.

Problem Solving with Case Studies

Date: Tuesday, November 13, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Problems in the classroom? Learn basic tools that will teach you how to think and respond effectively to challenging behaviors in children. This class will allow you to work in small groups with other teachers to create new strategies and resolve issues.
